Impact Stories

Mr. Ravindra Reddy

Before:

At 70 years old, Mr. Ravindra Reddy’s life was a tale of unimaginable hardship. Orphaned and living in a makeshift hut by the roadside in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, he endured the relentless struggles of being bedridden due to a stroke. He also suffered from high blood pressure, which made his condition even worse. With no family or support system, every day was a battle for survival, and his health was rapidly deteriorating.

Our Service:

In 2022, a kind-hearted volunteer referred Mr. Reddy to Ananda Vihar Seva Trust. We immediately took him in (rescued him from Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh and transported him on our vehicle to the centre) and conducted a thorough medical evaluation. Our team provided him with physiotherapy, proper nursing care, and essential medications, along with a diet rich in nutrition. Each day brought a small but significant improvement as he regained his strength and hope. The tireless efforts of our caregivers became a turning point in his life.

Present Status:

Today, Mr. Reddy is a source of joy at our old age home. He is healthy, mobile, and eats nutritious meals. More importantly, he has found a new family among the other residents. With a big smile on his face, he actively participates in recreational activities and cherishes his newfound sense of belonging and happiness.

At Ananda Vihar Seva Trust, we embraced them as part of our family. We provided them with dedicated nursing care, essential medications, and nourishing food. Our team also ensured their emotional well-being by creating a supportive and comforting environment. The couple was given their own room, where they could find dignity and privacy.
